Research

Our research group uses field mapping, petrography, major and trace element geochemistry, stable metal isotope geochemistry, and in situ chemical analysis of rocks, sediment, or waters to detect "fingerprints" of modern and ancient Earth processes. These processes provide insight into transitions in Earth's mantle, oceans, and atmosphere over the 4 billion years of fascinating geological history available for us to study.
